Airbnb Enhanced Cleaning offers a number of benefits to both the host and the guest. One of the major benefits is that it ensures that a host’s place is clean and tidy at all times. In addition, it allows guests to receive a special highlight on their listing. This helps to boost bookings, and on average, it is estimated that guests enjoy three times more time in a clean place.

Host checklist

The host checklist for Airbnb enhanced cleaning is a five-point system designed to help hosts keep their properties clean and ready for their next guests. While not as exhaustive as a cleaning checklist created by a professional cleaning service, this list can help you avoid some common mistakes and get your property cleaned to perfection.

Hosts who commit to the enhanced cleaning protocol will receive a special callout on their listing page. Additionally, they will have the option to display the “Committed to clean” badge.

In order to be able to participate in the Enhanced Cleaning Protocol, you must first sign up with your Airbnb account. You will then be required to agree to the attestation and follow a five-step process for cleaning. If you don’t follow the protocol, you could lose your hosting privileges.

The new policy includes stricter guidelines for cleaning and maintenance, as well as tips from medical hygiene experts and former US Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy.

Before you begin, make sure that you have all the necessary supplies, including a vacuum cleaner, a laundry basket, and a cleaning kit. Using these items will ensure that your property is as clean as a 5-star hotel.

Aside from checking the guest room and providing an inventory, you’ll also need to set up the Airbnb listing, welcome your guests, and make sure that the check-out process is smooth. Once your guests leave, you’ll need to wait at least 24 hours before you can clean the property.

After you’ve finished cleaning your Airbnb property, you’ll need to sanitize it. This can include rinsing out the kitchen, shower, and bathroom, as well as disinfecting the entire home.

Guests receive a special highlight on their listing

In order to show that vacation rental managers are keeping up with the newest health and safety guidelines, Airbnb recently launched a new feature to highlight properties with Enhanced Cleaning. The Enhanced Cleaning Protocol showcases properties with buffers between guests and enhanced hygiene standards.

A special highlight will be placed on the listing of Airbnb hosts who have attested to the five-step enhanced cleaning process. This enables guests to feel confident about booking with the host. However, the host must follow the guidelines to ensure they meet the standards of the program.

As part of this program, hosts are provided with a list of cleaning supplies and videos to help them meet the new standards. Once they’ve completed the checklist and quiz, they will be given a sticker stating that they are committed to cleaning. They can also display the “committed to clean” sign on the listing page.

If you’re interested in signing up for the Enhanced Clean, check out the guidelines on the Airbnb website. You’ll find information on the program, including the ‘commitment to clean’ sticker, in your account.

Airbnb is partnering with Ecolab, a global leader in cleaning and hygiene technology, to offer an enhanced cleaning service to travelers. It goes above and beyond standard cleaning to focus on high-touch areas, such as kitchens and bathrooms, using EPA-approved disinfectants.

To participate, Airbnb hosts must take the Enhanced Clean Quiz and agree to a host attestation. Airbnb is also providing educational materials, a Quick Start Guide, and articles that will help you learn more about the protocol.

Guests will be able to identify listings that have participated in the Enhanced Cleaning Program by viewing the clear label at the top of the listing. Listings that do not have this badge will not be displayed.

Three times more bookings on average

The Enhanced Cleaning Protocol is a new program launched by Airbnb to help host improve their listings and the lives of the guests who stay with them. As part of this program, hosts have access to a sanitization guide based on information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). They also get a swag bag of hygienic supplies and a room-by-room cleaning checklist to ensure the cleanliness of their homes.

This program is the best example of Airbnb’s collaboration with government agencies and private medical experts. Several countries are participating in the Enhanced Cleaning Protocol and the list is growing. Some hosts have even incorporated the sanitization measures into their normal routine.

Another great thing about the Enhanced Cleaning Protocol is that it is available in more than 60 languages. Guests can easily identify a listing that has undergone the upgrade by its clear label up top.

Another good reason to participate is that it has been shown to boost bookings. A study conducted by the American Hotel & Lodging Association shows that a listing with the Enhanced Cleaning Protocol gets three times as many bookings as a comparable property. That’s a pretty big deal for vacation rental owners.

In addition to the Enhanced Cleaning Protocol, Airbnb has added a few other programs. They have also implemented an anti-party measure and issued a Health and Safety Guide for their community. These changes were designed to meet the demands of the modern traveler. With more than seven million listings, Airbnb has the potential to become a major force in the travel industry. But before that happens, they will have to up their game.

Sanitization is done to prepare for sanitization

If you’re looking for a way to make sure your Airbnb property is clean and ready for the next guest, you might want to look into implementing a cleaning service. However, there are several rules and regulations you should keep in mind before hiring someone to clean your place.

Keeping a rental property clean can be a daunting task. After all, you need to wash and dry linens, wipe down surfaces, mop floors, and more. You also need to ensure that your cleaning supplies are disposed of properly.

To be on the safe side, you should also read all labels on your products. That includes the active ingredients of disinfectants. As well, you’ll want to know what “dwell time” means, which is the amount of time you can spend sanitizing a surface before it becomes dry.

When it comes to sanitizing, you’ll want to focus on sanitizing high-touch surfaces. This includes light switches, doorknobs, and other commonly touched areas. Spraying a chemical disinfectant on these surfaces will kill any microbes that have accumulated over time.

Sanitizing is a great way to avoid cross-contamination, so it’s important to clean and sanitize before putting the house on the market. In addition, you should check and recheck high-touch areas to make sure they are clean and sanitized.

Whether you decide to use a professional or do the job yourself, you’ll need to follow these basic guidelines:

The first step is to wipe down your counters and surfaces. You should also dust, vacuum, and wipe your floors. Next, you’ll need to do some dish washing. Finally, you’ll need to sanitize and restock any cleaning supplies that you’ve left out for your guests.

Ensures safety

The Airbnb Enhanced Cleaning Initiative ensures the safety of guests by introducing new cleaning standards. Hosts have an opportunity to enroll in the program by completing an attestation form. They will also be given a certification.

The enhanced cleaning guidelines were developed with leading experts in medical hygiene and hospitality. Guests will be able to identify accommodations with enhanced sanitation measures by seeing a “Cleaning Protocol” badge on listings.

To be enrolled in the program, hosts will need to agree to five basic standards of cleanliness. These include wearing a mask when interacting with guests, practicing social distancing, and following a five-step enhanced cleaning process.

Besides the enhanced cleaning protocol, the program also includes a 24-hour wait period between guests and hosts. This is meant to help address the airborne particles that could remain for a few hours after a guest leaves.

In addition, hosts must wash linens on high heat. They are also required to disinfect high-touch items like door knobs. After cleaning, they must complete a report and add it to the unit’s welcome kit.

To comply with the enhanced cleaning protocol, Airbnb has provided hosts with an instructional video, cleaning checklists, articles, and more. Moreover, they have made these resources available in local languages.

Hosts can enroll in the program by logging into their accounts. Once they’ve completed the enrollment, they will receive a badge and a sticker that confirms their commitment to cleaner standards. If they repeatedly fail to meet these standards, their listing could be deactivated. Alternatively, they can continue to use the existing standards.

For hosts in 12 countries, they can access enhanced cleaning educational materials in their native language. These materials include a room-by-room checklist, tips on deep cleaning, and recommendations on how to prevent and control COVID-19.
