Global Ministriesonline provides a variety of resources to support your online ministry.

The General Board of Global Ministries (GBGM) of the United Methodist Church is the agency that connects the United Methodist church worldwide in mission, relief and development. It is an ecumenical, historically informed organization that facilitates mission and disaster response in over 130 countries.

GBM offers online nondenominational theology and ministry courses as well as interfaith and international contemporary theological education. It is inclusive, supportive of creative thinking and affirms the sacred in all religions and spiritual traditions.

Achieving the Missio Dei: partnering with global partners to witness and share in God’s transforming work across cultures, through word and deed.

Global Ministries aims to share in the vision of its global partners and listen instead of lecturing. This mutuality, the core of Global Ministries’ work with international partners, helps create a sense of partnership and shared purpose.

GBGM supports approximately 290 faith-based international partners, working in 90 countries worldwide, to reach all peoples with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ and to invite them into discipleship.

The GBGM’s Mission Theology statement guides its work to participate in the Missio Dei – God’s mission. It is based on the belief that all of God’s people and creation share in God’s abundant life and that the transforming power belongs to God.

The General Board of Global Ministries carries out its mission through a diverse global staff that meets international standards of professionalism and integrity in all areas of technical, relational, denominational and financial work. In addition, GBGM provides ways for United Methodists to participate in global mission through their local churches and annual conferences and supports life-changing projects for which they have a passion.
