There are a lot of things to do in Curtis, Florida. Whether you are a tourist or a local, the city has much to offer. The Museum and Orchard are two of the many attractions. There are also some restaurants that are worth checking out.

15 hidden gems

For the last 15 years, WHYY has broadcast an exceptional at-home concert experience courtesy of Curtis student recitals recorded live in Field Concert Hall. These broadcasts are available online and via streaming services, and offer a unique opportunity for Curtis students to perform and share their work.

For 28 years, Curtis has fought for the rights of nonviolent marijuana offenders. In that time, he has fallen in love with at least one marijuana lifer. Even though he has lost his first wife, his advocacy has brought him a new lease on life. His late-life romance with a marijuana lifer is proof that love can shine through the dark.


Curtis’ magnum opus chronicles the cultures, languages, and traditions of Native American tribes. It is a multi-media presentation that includes 1,500 photogravures and more than seven hundred large-scale images. It is widely considered the most comprehensive non-indigenous documentation of Native American culture. The exhibit also features works by contemporary Native American photographers. The exhibit is free with museum admission. There are also educational opportunities for visitors.

The museum is housed in a home with four fireplaces, ornamental crown molding, and more intact parquet flooring than any other historical home in the state. The Curtis home served as Curtis’ official residence while in Washington, and was home to the Curtis family as late as 1937. The family consisted of Curtis’ wife Ann (Baird), two daughters, and a son, as well as his half-sister Dolly.

The Curtis Museum is home to one of the finest collections of local history in Hampshire. It is housed in a stunning heritage home that was originally built in 1859. During your visit, be sure to stop by and take in the museum’s many exhibits. The museum also hosts a series of unique events throughout the year.

As the new museum construction begins, there are several stages that will occur. The site is being prepared, utility work is being completed, and heavy equipment such as bulldozers and dump trucks is being used to prepare the site. Early site work is being performed by the majority-minor firm Horace Construction, which has partnered with Skanska for the project. The subcontractor contracts are still being negotiated, but it is expected to take between fifty and 100 workers to complete all stages of the project.


With a variety of seasonal activities, you’re sure to find something you’ll love at the Curtis Orchard. Canned jams, apple butter, and peaches are among the many treats you’ll find at this pumpkin patch and orchard. While you’re there, make sure to check out the cute little kittens that roam the grounds. They’re friendly and used to being picked up by guests. Some have even stowed away in strollers! The orchard is also a great place for a family outing or a playdate.

Kids will enjoy the many activities at the Curtis Orchard. You can pick your own pumpkins, enjoy live entertainment, pick apples, and enjoy the Flying Monkey Cafe. Families can also enjoy a delicious lunch at the Curtis Orchard Café. Baked goods and homemade meals are available at the Flying Monkey Cafe, which is located on the property.

For those looking for a unique way to spend their weekend, the Curtis Orchard & Pumpkin Patch is a great choice. This 80-acre farm is open from mid-July through mid-December. The farm’s country store is a great place to pick up unique gifts and snacks. You can even buy fresh doughnuts at the Country Store Bakery. The Orchard is open Monday through Saturday from 9am to 6pm, and on Sunday from 11am to 5pm. The farm is located at 3902 S. Duncan Road in Champaign, IL.

There are plenty of activities available at the Orchard, including pony rides, pumpkin picking, and other farm animals. There are also baked goods, pumpkins, and Christmas trees for sale. On weekends, covered wagon rides are available.

Picnic spots

There are several picnic spots in the Curtis Park area. One of these is the South Fork Snoqualmie River picnic area. This picnic area is nestled in a remnant old-growth forest and offers spectacular river views. It also has restroom facilities and is handicap accessible. This park also features a kayak storage facility. The park offers free parking and admission.

This park features plenty of shade, a big lawn and several picnic shelters. It is also a great place to watch the sunset. The park is also popular with couples as you can take a romantic stroll along the Riverwalk. During your picnic, you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the park’s wildlife, which include egrets, alligators, and scarlet spoonbills.


Curtis, Washington, is located in Lewis County. It has a population of 836 residents in 331 households. The weather in Curtis is usually cold and rainy, with an average temperature of 36F in the winter and 46F in the summer. The city averages 16.6 inches of precipitation each November. The median age is 33, and most residents are home owners. The majority are married without children and have a high school diploma.
